The “nosh + natter” supper club offers participants the rare opportunity to share a meal with strangers in a treehouse located in Centennial Parklands. There is a distinct charm in this opportunity that is unparalleled by the usual dining out experiences. The name “nosh + natter” pays homage to the two key aspects of this collective encounter, conversation and food.
In the 21st century, we are more connected through technology than ever before. However, loneliness is on the rise and there has been a newfound interest in supper clubs connecting strangers over food. The first supper club took place in the early 1900s and they are becoming an increasingly popular way for Millennials and Gen Zers to meet friends all around the world. In my Bachelor of Design experience project, I designed a treehouse to hold a supper club using Vectorworks. This was supported with a storyboard, circulation plans, personas, and a menu.
